Auntie Becky and Uncle Bryan were nice enough to look after little Timmy while mum and dad enjoyed an overly indulgent holiday in NYC.
While Timmy was a little restless the first couple of nights, he really loves being in Waterloo with the humans, and Sousa.

…Apparently, my dog.
Against my better judgement, I let Timmy take his new ball into his crate with him when we went to bed last night. I figured it would help him be quiet in his bed, and keep him a bit entertained. He had never ingested anything or gotten sick from chewing stuff before. Until last night.
I woke up around 1:30 to the sounds of retching. Upon inspection I saw he had barfed in his crate. I put the stuff in the wash and everything was fine. But he puked again, and again. In all, 13 times the poor guy got sick. The culprit? He had eaten his new ball into pieces, in the process swallowing some as well. Luckily it seems that most of the pieces were recovered.
Finally, around 3 am, he was feeling better…enough to beg to be let onto the bed, tail wagging. We let him sleep with us, and miraculously, he slept the whole night through…well, what was left of it anyway.
Lesson learned? No chew toys when left unsupervised!!!

I met a great couple in the park a couple weeks ago, and they were kind enough to send me a few snaps they took of Tim playing with their Doberman, Roxy. In these pictures you can really see the size difference between the Doberman Pincher and a Toy Manchester.

Well, we attempted to brush Tim’s teeth for the first time. Emphasis should be placed on “attempted”….

Okay, so I really need to start taking a “good” camera to the park!

When we first applied to get Timmy, our breeder said that due to his super short coat, we would end up spending more money on clothes for him than we would for ourselves. I didn’t realize how true that would become! We have resisted dressing him up thus far. Well, the lifejacket doesnt count…really.
But now that fall is seriously upon us, poor little Timmy just shakes and shivers when we are out on our walks. We are going to have to get him a sweater and likely a jacket too! I popped into our local place, Timmy Doggie Outfitters, and they had some seriously cute stuff. And it was outrageous! $85 for a DOG JACKET?! Are you serious?! In talking with my new friends at the dog park, I have learned there is a great dog store at Vaughan Mills that sells the same clothes as Timmie’s, but much, much cheaper. So maybe we’ll try that. Or I’ll take a risk and check out whats available online.
Any tips would be helpful! (PS – I can’t knit or sew, so don’t suggest I make anything myself! Lol)
